halton hills public library - "My Library"
The Halton Hills Public Library approached us to capture dynamic photos of local patrons for a promotional feature entitled "My Library". They were used in posters throughout the library, promoting what each person valued about the library. Over two separate sessions, patrons were photographed in both the sparkling new Acton branch, as well as the temporary Georgetown location in the old Holy Cross church basement. It was truly a unique challenge to creating lasting images in a location that was only going to be around for another year!
Acton Branch
Libraries are no longer the dark, quiet and stuffy institutions of yesteryear! These photos attempt to convey a sense of the bright and vibrant, modern and inclusive spaces that the new buildings are in this day and age.
Georgetown Branch
The focus of these photos is the people who live in the community and enjoy what their local library offers them - a place to relax and read, to study or work, to volunteer...or just hang out with a sibling!
