Turning One is so much Fun!

Sometimes when we have photography sessions with children shyness becomes a factor.  Fortunately both Jeff and I are photographers and there is usually one of us that becomes the "chosen one" with kids, and it's usually me...*cough*.  Actually it's about 50/50, but I like to tell myself I am more likeable than Jeff! When Parker came into our studio for his one year session he definitely played shy, but in the end we both won him over- he liked me the most, and we captured some really amazing shots of him. This is the first one year old session in a while where we didn't do a cake smash and had some fun with balloons instead.  We had such a great time and all of us ended up in giggles- which is always my favourite!

Newborn Session with Baby Morgan

We had a wonderful session with this sweet little newborn, and once we got her to sleep the magic started to happen. I think I did my job really well, because Morgan wasn’t the only one who fell asleep! During the session her Mommy managed to catch a few zzzz’s by the fire in our super comfortable red chair... in her defence, not many people can resist that chair!

Women in the Spotlight!

We’ve had an exciting couple of weeks here at the studio! As I said in one of our recent posts, professional headshots are very popular this time of year with corporate image changes and business refreshers.  Jeff usually photographs our corporate portraits here at Left of Centre Photography and I edit/retouch the final images. With many people coming and going through our space over the last month I have to say how impressed I am with the number women we’ve had the opportunity to photograph! As a woman, mother, business partner, daughter and sister I can’t help but beam with pride seeing all these strong, beautiful and successful women making their difference in the workforce.  I would also like to add that I feel stay at home mothers should be celebrated and have their professional portraits done too. As most of us know they have the toughest job and deserve just as much praise.

Thank you women of today, and women of the future for being all you are!

Take a look at these powerful and gorgeous women-
