I had a great time photographing this little cutie in my home studio. I love the ability to change backgrounds on a whim and have a look based on my or my subjects mood. Capturing JJ's personality took me back to when my son was 6 months old. They both have the same intense seriousness that, when broken with a smile, it completely changes their face. At almost 8 years old it has been a while since my son was newly sitting, exploring and starting to crawl. This session reminded me to slow down and embrace and remember where he was, where he is and the places he will go. I love that my job always gives me time to remember my own journey in life while giving me the opportunity to capture memories for others to look back on! How lucky am I?
